A new car
We are buying a new car for our trip. Which means we need to sell my car. I loved that car. It was a sporty silver convertible and after years of driving a van, I loved it. Even in Rochester where the winters are long and spring is almost non existent. Getting rid of most of our things has been wonderful. I am holding onto so few things from our home and have not a moment's regret. I am so ready for this new start of our life. But the car gave me pause. I didn't want to part with it and so my lovely husband said, "Then don't. We'll put it in storage." And I breathed a sigh of relief. And so on to buy a car for our trip. Either a Buick or Chrsyler sedan. We will call this vehicle home for a lot of months. We choose the Buick but when I look at the trunk, it is so small that it takes my breath away. Again, I turn to husband and say, "We need an SUV." He researches. He's very good at this and now we buy a Buick crossover SUV. Great- until the plant goes on strike and we go on a mad nightly car hunt and finally find a Saturn SUV. Love it. I am now ready to sell my car and in 4 days it has a new home. And I have another car that is perfect for this time of my life.

Forgot about your blog until today, when Renata told me how she has been reading your blog! Just thought you would appreciate that you have followers!
You certainly do! We just read your blog and are so happy for you. Though we will miss your e-mails and wisdom on our trials with our children we are so happy that you are getting to stay in all the big hotels and we can follow your journey.
I think there should be an entry from the month of June before it ends. It was a whirlwind month, don't ya think??!! Just saying...
Possible ideas...."Last night our dear friends threw, and attended, a lovely party in our honor" etc.!
You are missed already...
